10th Annual Race for Faith
The 10th Annual Race for Faith took place on Saturday, February 23rd in Lake Worth, Florida. The event, which occurred in John Prince Park, had both a 5K (3.1 miles) and 10K (6.2 miles) option. The race is USA Track and Field certified for both the 5K and 10K courses.
According to the Race for Faith website, race coordinators “Victor and Cindy Martel, both former marathon runners, were inspired by God to bring physical fitness to His people, and to bring God to the physically fit.”
About Race for Faith
Race for Faith was established in 2003 and is a non-profit organization. Over the years the event organizers have given back over $70,000 to the community including donations to First Priority South Florida, Team World Vision, Urban Youth Impact Dream Center, Veteran’s Support Organization and C.R.O.S.S. Ministries.
Stanton Optical Community Involvement
Stanton Optical employee Lynn Smythe was among the runners at the race and competed in the 10K run. Lynn is a recent hire and works as a SEO Copywriter at the corporate headquarters in Palm Springs, Florida.
Lynn has participated in many running, cycling, duathlon and triathlon races during the past few years. Her races help raise money for a variety of organizations including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Police Athletic League.
Official Race Results
Complete results of both the 5K and 10K race are viewable on the Accuchip Timing website. Race results are searchable by last name or bib number. Participants can print out a finishers certificate with their race results, view their official race photos and even see an 8 second video of themselves crossing the finish line.
